How can students use AI while studying?

I am working on an assignment and I keep hearing different things about using AI for schoolwork. Some students mentioned AI assignment help while talking about ways to understand difficult topics. I want to use AI only for learning and checking my understanding, not for copying answers. I am still unsure about the right way to use it. What are some good ways students can use AI as a study tool?
